After many months of preparation and expectation we started the project With eyes wide open in Târgu Frumos.
We started with a list of 36 students witch may have opportunities to regain their sight or be able to see much better, they came to Cluj from 16 octombire-November 4, 15 students of High school for students with visual deficiency with grades I-XII "Moldova". All the 15 children were consulted by Optilens Clinic and 13 of them were operated and were able to go home the next day after having been consulted.
Once back in Târgu Frumos they were true role models for children and parents who were afraid of surgery and did not agree with it. By the end of this year we want to finish these operations with 13 students, all of them need a second Ophthalmic surgical intervention, at the same eye or the other one.
In January we will begin new series with other students that are looking forward to see better.
For the remaining students from Târgu Frumos we started acquiring eyeglasses.

Asociaţa Mundia a început o campanie de informare în rândurile medicilor de familie.
În
lunile iunie şi iulie s-a demarat o campanie de informare prin care se
aducea la cunoştinţa medicilor de familie posibilitatea pe care o au
pacineţii lor de a beneficia de intervenţii chirurgicale oftalmologice
gratuite. Au fost vizitaţi peste 30 de medici de familie din Municipiul
Cluj-Napoca pentru a-i informa despre dorinţa Asociaţiei Mundia de a
ajuta şi de a produce schimbări relevente în vieţile pacienţilor prin
sponsorizările pe care doreşte să le ofere. Grupul ţintă este alcătuit
din copii, adolescenţi şi tineri până în 30 de ani care au nevoie de
intervenţii chirurgicale oftalmologice şi care provin din familii cu
venituri mici.
Speram că în urma acestei campanii de informare să
avem o punte de legătură solidă între asociaţia noastră şi medicii de
familie.
